The 250 million year old
Himalayan Pink Salt
has been used for centuries as a folk remedy for a many health issues. Coming from the world’s highest peaks, the Himalayan mountains, the Himalayan Pink Salt has 84 trace elements, getting its pink hue from minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper and iron.
The pink sea salt comes in
fine
, small, medium,
coarse
and extra coarse grains that complement your culinary palette {grilling, cooking, roasting or seasoning}. A small dash in your dish can help stimulate circulation, lower blood pressure, and remove toxins like heavy metals from the body. You can even use it as a bath salt, exfoliator, or scrub.
Of course you can also use Hawaiian, Peruvian, Celtic, Bolivian, Mayan, Balinese, Mediterranean or Indian sea salts! Whichever you prefer!
i have a sea salt facial scrub that i love and, of course, i enjoy eating it too! (not the scrub, the actual salt).
ReplyDeletewoah! sounds like magic. wonder where I can get them in the UK. =)
ReplyDeleteThis looks sooo relaxing!!! xxxoo
ReplyDeletei love cooking with sea salt! - never tried colored ones tho!
ReplyDeleteMy mom swears by Himalayan sea salt and right now I have three grinders of it from Trader Joe's in my spice cabinet. It's the only salt I use for cooking and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI discovered Himalayan pink salt after getting some in a gift set several months ago (this was from Sustainable Sourcing https://secure.sustainablesourcing.com) and I LOVE it! I can not go back to regular table salt again. I'm happy to have been introduced to Sustainable Sourcing too because they are a "green" company which I love. I have their organic Himalayan bath salts on my Christmas list! :)
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh it's pink! funny!
ReplyDeleteps. thanks for being such a nice blog friend :)
Too funny! I was just talking about my pink salt from Trader Joe's today! I was saying out it tasted less "salty" than my white salt, and someone mentioned that yes - it was - and that would be good for salted caramels? could be good!
ReplyDeleteI love this - I use red Hawaiian sea salt a lot (being that I'm from there :)), but I'd love to try Himalayan! Love that it's pink.
ReplyDeleteWOW, this is the first time I've heard of this, thanks for the info dear
