On Fridays I'll tend to look back on the week and rate it.... using good, long, great, awesome or maybe 'bad' in whatever terms I might be considering bad. Because, my definition for 'bad' can completely fluctuate especially when I am pmsing. Awesome. But for this week, I have to say it has been a very good yet super long as well.
I'm actually entering this weekend a bit cautiously, because these last two months I seem to have been experiencing menstrual migraines. Last month it happened over the weekend really making it dreadful. I haven't had a migraine in years. Yet these past two months I have had a migraine a day or two before starting my period. They are awful. I happen to have a really high tolerance for pain, but the aura that I experience before the migraine always worries me. My vision in one eye will become extremely blurry and it becomes impossible to see, lasting for about an hour and roughly 10 minutes later the migraine hits. Obviously if I am at home and this happens it's not a problem at all. But if I am out, the complications multiply exponentially.
So, while it may or may not happen this weekend, and I might not have menstrual migraines at all, I am sort of tiptoeing around these upcoming days. Needless to say, if it does happen again I will be seeing a doctor. But I am really just hoping that the third times the charm ;)
I'm wearing Paper Denim & Cloth Jeans, a tshirt that I think is part of a pajamas set, and Kelsi Dagger heels, although you can't fully see them in these shots! I completely love them and they are incredibly comfortable.
My scarf is from eco-conscious, Snoozer Loser {love the name lol}. Their scarves are "hand printed with eco-friendly friendly pigments". It's really soft and I love the light blue shade. And how fantastic is this Willow Dress...so cute!
Happy Friday! I hope you have a a great weekend!

Your scarf is beautiful and really looks great on you! I want those pants:) Very cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Friday, my dear!
Kisses
Oh Ms. Iva I get migraines before too. Midol does nothing to help. Excedrin migraine does help me, because i think on the bottle it says menstraul headaches too. It might be worth a shot to try. I've been there, I hope maybe it was just a series of bad months. Just take it easy girl if that's possible.
ReplyDeleteSo your one of the great ladies that can pull off wearing white pants huh? I think your outfit looks great. Your blue scarf is adorable, it looks soft!
I'm taking your button too!
I hope this weekend is okay!!

ReplyDeleteLove the jeans & the whole look. I get migraines fairly often, I actually take a birth control pill made for people who get them bc they tend to be much worse on regular pills right before my period. Good luck!

I tend to have them last an entire day with me feeling nauseous the entire time and having to be in bed. do get them checked out okay! i think the feeling of not being able to see properly before it hits has got to be one one of the most scary things. anyway get an MRI and happy almost weekend, love! xo

Ahh Iva, those migraines sound painful :( I really hope they don't come back or that you'll get a chance to just relax in case they do. Either way, I know you'll be looking fabulous as usual - I love this outfit, especially the scarf and I salute you for wearing white jeans! Take it easy and I hope you have a good weekend :)
ReplyDeleteCute outfit---love the scarf.
ReplyDeleteI also get migraines and have for years. This past year my doctor put me on Sumatriptan Succinate and I take this once the aura starts and it usually stops it from getting worse. I still have the lingering annoying pain the next day but the migraine doesn't progress. Hopefully this doesn't continue---they are so miserable.

Soooo, this outy is my fave of yours so far... totally up my alley! :) Simple, but still chic. I'm totally copying it someday... :)
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes, Batman, you are freaking beautiful and the outfit suits you so well!
ReplyDeleteMenstrual anything is horrible, but migraines must be the pits. I really hope you don't get one this weekend. Even if you don't, it might be good to see a doctor just in case it does happen some time in the future.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a pain free weekend!

I'm so sorry to hear about the migraines. I get them too and they're horrible. Fortunately I don't have problems with vision, but I get dizzy and any noise sounds 10x louder and more invasive than it really is. So, I can definitely empathize.
ReplyDeleteYou do look gorgeous in this outfit. Light, summery colors really suit you.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Iva!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteI've had once those vision problems and it was so bad! There was only once but I freaked out a lot. At least didn't last so long, it was only a few minutes. Hope everything is okay :)
About the clothes, I love the shoes!

Lovely super summery outfit. Hope the migraines stay away FOREVER now!
ReplyDeleteNice summer outfit!
ReplyDeleteHope those migraines pass quickly! I don't get migraines but I have a friend who does and she really suffers so I can understand how horrible it is!
ReplyDeleteOn the otherhand, you look gorgeous!
I'm so sorry to hear about your menstrual migraines, Iva. I truly hope that this time around you don't experience them again. As you said...perhaps the third times the charm. Love, love, love the jeans - white is so perfect for summer.
ReplyDeleteHappy, Happy Weekend!! :)

ReplyDeleteI love your scarf! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful and I hope your headaches get better, I've had those too and they are no fun! Advil always helps, but as you said, if you are out and about it is hard to control the pain. Just take deep breaths and hopefully those headaches will stay away!
ReplyDeleteHey Iva, I totally hear you. I used to suffer from migraines, but now I just get these headaches that can last literally for days on end. This week I still have a headache that has lasted for four days and counting. It has contributed to my lack of sleep.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better and it's not anything serious.
A happy follower despite the lack of sleep and headaches!
This is so pretty, I love how you played with the scarf.
ReplyDeleteAnything menstrual sucks - hope you were able to get rid of it.
