{image}- Wait a few minutes before beginning to shave. The blade cuts the hairs farther than the shaft if you give your hair follicles a few minutes to dilate under warm water.
- Exfoliate your legs to remove dead skin cells which may have built around your hair follicles.
- First shave your legs "with the grain" and then go over again "against the grain" for an exceptionally clean shave.
- If you run out of shaving cream, you can always use conditioner. Use a small amount and let it sit a few minutes {as you would for your hair} before shaving.
- To prolong the life of your razor, store it out of the shower in between uses to prevent blades dulling from the steam of other showers.
Hope you are having a great weekend!

Good tips! I never heard to shave with and against the grain--I'll have to try that next time.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips.. or do it my way find boyfriends treasure razor that apparently is not for me to use (yeah right!) try balance leg up on the sink.. shave dry... cut the sh*t out of yourself and wander why you have red bumps all over.. swear youll never do it again... then next week in a rush......
ReplyDeleteUgh, but what if I don't want to shave at all?
ReplyDeleteGreat tips, Iva!
ReplyDeleteUgh Tali shave dry??? lol.Anyway back to me.I always found it hard to shave against the grain,or the opposite, cause really it grows both ways.I use a electric razor after first doing it with a straight razor. If I continue with the straight razor my skin is very sensitive and turnsinto an itchy breakout.
ReplyDeleteYou know I found after getting sun the breakout and itch arent there that much.So I cant wait.
Happy New week Iva!
Fab tips! Thanks for these.

This may sound unbelievable to you, but I'm genetically fortunate enough that I don't need to shave my legs. So, I feel for all of you who gotta do this on a regular basis.

ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by the swing to visit, Julia/Dixie left her mark on this world yes?
Great tips. I always try to shave with and then against the grain underneath my legs because I'm always afraid people behind me can see things I might miss. LoL!
ReplyDeleteSince I get terrible bumps from shaving..I'll try this against the grain after and etc and see if I get a difference.
ReplyDeleteAny cream suggestions for the bumps or prevention thereof?
