At Home Spa...Recipes

So you want a spa day without the spa price? Here's how some of your common kitchen finds can double as a beauty session to beautify at home ;)

*If you have Fuji Apples: Exfoliate*

Reason:
Fuji apples contain malic acid - an alpha hydroxy acid that is perfect for exfoliation and hydration. Papaya and pineapple juice contain enzymes that are great for the face.

How To: Slice the apples and gently rub in a circular motion. Or you can squeeze the juice out, apply on your face for a more intense treatment.

*If you have Rice Flour: Defoliate and Brighten*

Reason: Rice flour is a great defoliator and brightener all-in-one. It is great for reviving the skin.

How To:
Add some water and Rice flour together for a morning cleanse.

*If you have Tomatoes: Acne/Oily Skin Treatment*

Reason:
Tomatoes have antioxidant qualities, preventing skin damage and helps tighten pores, reducing the likelihood of a breakout.

How To: Place sliced tomatoes on your skin. {cold compresses are also great to relieve the swelling of blemishes}

*If you have Baking Soda or Lemon Juice: Treat Breakouts & Blackheads*

Reason:
Baking soda is great for preventing breakouts and softening blackheads.

How To
: Mix baking soda with water to create a runny consistency and dab on face with a cloth.

How To:
using a cotton ball apply lemon juice for cleansing and exfoliating.

Have a great Thursday!

  20. Really great ideas- though I always hear these and then never do them- minus beer in the hair for shine (because that's really easy to grab a beer into the shower) and then baking soda for toothpaste (because I ran out and didn't realize til I was going to bed). :)
