Whiteflash: Dreams of Africa

"Dreams of Africa was set up by Whiteflash as a way of helping the African victims of 'blood diamonds'. With the introduction of the Awear range of jewelry for kids, young people can show the world that Love and Hope is alive and well."

Diamonds For Life, 100% of all profits go to WCCI.

"Worn near the heart, the pendant will touch the hearts of all who share our dreams of Africa. Whiteflash commissioned the design of this pendant to give expression to the desire to help heal the broken lives of the victims of blood diamonds. The sparkling conflict-free diamonds symbolize innocence, the sapphires stand for truth. The center stone is mother Africa and the spirals portray awareness as it spreads out to the world we all share."

I try to always be exceptionally contentious of all my purchases. Actively trying to always be part of the change. Courtesy of Whiteflash, and their Dreams of Africa line, I enjoy a new ring.

{Scattered Diamond Band}

The Kimberley Process, is to be greatly applauded as the 'blood diamond' trade has been reduced by 95%, still areas of conflict remain.

Happy Wednesday Friends! Have an awesome day!

40 Fabulous People:

  1. oh this jewelry is lovely, and i am so relieved that people are trying to alleviate the horrors of blood diamonds. so that is a good thing.

    i can't afford diamonds (and none of the loser men in my life have bothered to BUY them for me), but i think i would/will take all possible steps to avoid buying blood diamonds.

    in the meantime, i'm all for costume jewelry! i have tons of it, and would roll around in it if i could.

    lamest comment ever. i am not right in the head or the tummy today!

  8. You're such a good person buying items to support change and good causes. I shop at forever21 where jewelry is cute and cheap. Ha!

    Love these earrings though and would you believe I had no idea what a blood diamond was until leo dicaprio came out with that movie. I'm so clueless sometimes.

  30. This is great. I love how you spotlight consumer consciousness - so many people just blindly buy things and don't ever think that they are supporting unethical practices or that they are part of the problem.

    What a wonderful, positive way to help people become more aware of how what they buy affects others. :)
