there's a few things i'd tell myself, but the biggest one would be to not worry about having a boyfriend, and just have fun with my friends! lol!!! great post girl!!!
I would tell myself....that even though you can't imagine it now...someday, you and your mother will actually LIKE one another....and my teenage self would say..."Yeah right" like a teenager would say...and my adult self would say "no, I know, it seems ludicrous, but it's true, I've seen it with my own eyes!" And my teenage self would say..."I'll believe it when i see it"..and adult me would smile and say "oh, you will"
Thank you for checking out my other blog! I would say "Don't worry about it, really, it's not important. In the scale of things they are none existent."
I am lucky enough to work with a group of 12 - 18 year old girls at our church, and I get to tell them (ALL the time), "Keep believing in yourselves! You are wonderful girls!"
Oh my gosh.... I would pray for an entire day to sit down with my teenage self... I would have so much to say. But the long and short of it would be "The beauty on the inside truly is more important than the beauty you see on the outside."
That's what I would've said. I also would have told my teenage self to tell my mother earlier what my dad was doing to me, but I think that's probably way too serious for either of our blogs :)
"wait until you get married to have sex..." AND your mother DOES REALLY know best...she has been through it already, and I know you hate to admit it, BUT she's ALWAYS RIGHT!
I agree with so many of what's written, but I'd say, its all going to work out, so mess up, have fun and don't worry about a thing....I should tell myself that now...
Even though I've only been out of teenage-dom for a couple of years, this stood out to me.
I would tell my teenage self to never change herself for a boy. It'll end up damaging her, and she's better off waiting for someone who will appreciate her for being her.
Thanks for this Iva! Hope you have a great weekend :)
Never date someone ugly because you think theyll be nicer and more loyal. If anything they have more to prove and can hurt you more than the prettiest man.
Chose your men on your connection and feelings.. not by your head.
Stay in School!
