
Hi friends! My life has changed since I entered the blogging world April 12th, 2009. Each one of you has become a part of my life, and I have learned a bit of something from each of you. I've met someone whose name is almost like mine and loves recapping basketball. Watched a fellow San Franciscan graduate, who has such fun friends. Made friends with the most adorable blogger, who always puts a smile on my face, everyday, with her silly, cute, fun ways, and I've decided she will design my baby's clothes from this moment forward. Found a fellow Alumni, shared in a beautiful baby moment, found the baker of all my kids birthday cakes (she has yet to be told this!) Enjoyed a beautiful story, of one fathers love, not only for his daughter, but his wife as well, and received my first award,by the lovely daughter of this beautiful family, with a 100 pound dog. Met my own personal chef, who will one day own a5 star restaurant, because she already creates master pieces. Blogged with an old firehouse owner, a girl who loves her dogs, a barbie doll whose dog loves her cupcakes just as much as she does, and one Mrs. Dragg whose husband loves to grill. Live vicariously through her weekly menu plans, wait for her to test products on Tuesdays, visualize life completely in pink,and keep up with a Blondie. Read her Wednesdays, her blog designs, her lemonade stories, and spend a minute in her life. Love seeing her profile picture, spend a day in her life, a little bit in hers, love her yellow blog, kick back the clock with her, see her creative side, and I starting seeing her life in the Navy. Follow her ocean dreams, her red boots, and put on blog goggles. Laugh a bit in Miami, watch her needle, see awesome nail designs, her blush, smile as her mom guest blogged, got a look a like laugh out of this, follow a sweet preschool teacher, watch her dream, read about her mommy life, a rose here, and a rose there, her happy life, her life abroad, and her lucky life. Spend time with a girl with sass, a barista, and enjoy everything fabulous. Reserved a lawyer in training, for god forbid any future needs, seriously, and follow her adventures, while having, my only non Starbucks exception, coffee, looking at pictures of flowers.
And this, my friends, is just the beginning. There is so much more I want to learn about each of you. As, for me, some of you know my love for health, fitness, nutrition, and all things beautiful. So with that, I'm beginning "Ask Iva". Ask away! Don't know what vitamins to take? Want to know exactly how much water is right for you, need healthy food ideas, that actually taste good? Which days to flex, and which days to do cardio? How to tone while at the movies? Best time of the day to eat carbs? Which spices/ condiment will speed up your metabolism. Perfect portion sizes, that aren't the size of a peanut? I'd love to share anything I know, so every week, I'll look through the questions, pick out a few, and give you my take on it. Keep the questions coming!
*I'd like this to be something we can all learn from,: tricks, ideas, useful, fun keep us healthy type stuff* Questions such as : do you pop pimples, do you have calluses on your feet, pads or tampons..you know kinda weird to be asking, I'm not up for....personal fam stuff too, please be kind and understand, they are locked away in my heart*

ReplyDeletei was very athletic when i was younger {gymnast, soccer player, track athlete.. lots and lots} and since those have stopped i've still not had trouble staying fit and on the thinner side but everyone warns me that my metabolism will catch up wtih me one day.. are there any things i should eat to help maintain my metabolism? i don't eat very unhealthy but what are some things i should eat based on my athletic background?

ReplyDeleteOk I am a workout gal like you but I am having a hard time with my calfs. I do machines and run on the treadmill but they aren't getting defined like I want. Any ideas for me? Oh I drink about five to six 16.9 oz of water. Is that enough do you think?

ReplyDeleteWell, I've already been doing one thing you told me to do... I bought the vitamin oil & the shea butter lotion & I used it every time I exit the shower. Even though I'm not showing yet, you said to start now, so I AM! I'll take any other advice you can give on stuff like that. I'm not going to beat myself up to bad though about not eating everything healthy. I'm a lot hungrier than I used to be & only certain things are sounding good to me. But, if you have any good recipes to cook, I'd love for you to share. We should all do a recipe exchange! :)

So, Ask Iva, eh? Well, as Nicole seems to be having herself a grand old time blogging and can never say enough about the people she is meeting, I thought I may ask some insightful question regarding my daughter. But, I read her shoe post and the subsequent comments and definitely get the idea that you two will stick together on most things and the chances of getting a telling response that was not first censored by Nicole would be slim. Therefor, this question: is it true that most of a young lady's charm and endearing qualities tend to be paternally endowed whereas organizational skills are more maternally passed down? (Nicole will so get what I am getting at ;-) )
