Ding dong went the doorbell, and I literally felt my heart lose its peaceful rhythm. Random dingdoning isn't something that happens here. The chance of a bird flying into the doorbell is higher on any given day then a random person walking by. But, on this beautiful,already 88 degrees, Saturday, not even noon morning, someone thought it would be a good idea to walk the hills and ask the residence if they wanted to read up on her religion. I was so happy just sitting here (reading blogs!), and little jelly belly had just fallen asleep in my arms. {no, I'm not bitter at all about the fact that it took me 2 hours to help her fall asleep only to be awoken by a doorbell 30 seconds later}. My husband opened the door, listened, and kindly accepted the pamphlets. She had one final question. What do you do? "I'm an athlete" What sport? "Basketball" I don't watch basketball, would I recognize you if I saw you?
Isn't that like asking someone else if they would know when you need to go pee?

ReplyDeleteyou are so funny! I might not have a baby to fall asleep in my arms, but I do have a kitten and I hate it when he falls asleep so peacefully in my arms only to have me need to go pee a few minutes later. but then again, that is kinda my fault (;
