Why is it that this:
Can make or break our day. I tend to avoid it like the plague. Yet, once in a blue moon, I tiptoe my way over, take a deep breath, close my eyes and take to the scale. I tend to only base things on how my fav jeans fit, but every so often I check in with the numbers. It is done with precision. It has to be first thing in the morning, after I've peed, because you never know if that might, god forbid, add half an ounce to the final number, and it must be sans clothing. Sure, I know muscle weighs more than fat, and yes, BMI is a much healthier number to scrutinize. But does anyone really not care about the scale number? Really. It's on my drivers license. Officer. I'm sorry. The number I listed: It's 2 pounds off.

You look gorgeous.... dont you worry about those 2lbs, I think theyre muscle!! xxoo
ReplyDeleteits muscle, hard lean muscle
ReplyDeleteI don't think you have anything to worry about! It's all about how your clothes fit :P
ReplyDeleteHee Hee. I posted about weight recently too!
ReplyDeleteI'm so ridiculous about my weigh ins that I even exhale as I stand there. It might take off a couple of ounces right?
I can't weigh myself, I get crazed if the number changes by an ounce. And just for the record, you might want to alert the authorities because the weight listed on my DL might be about ten pounds off. OOOPS.
ReplyDeleteP.S I have my first appt with my personal trainer tonight...he used to be Mr. Asia LOL I'm scared...
You are fabulous. End of story.
Ugh I know this all too well, everyone does!! Its crazy how much power it has over us, and how it can completely make our day or destroy us completely. right? I have a certain way of doing it too, you have to use the bathroom before hand, and you cant have ANYTHING that may put more weight on the scale haha. "Maybe I didnt stand completely straight" Hahaha oh the mind tricks we play.
ReplyDeleteBut really all that matter is um.. hi youre drop dead gorgeous!!
the scale is not my best friend... like you, i only go on it once in a blue moon... i did it recently after not being on the scale for about 5 months...and i gained 7lbs. >:(
ReplyDeleteOMG! I have to totally agree with you! I hate the scale and I find that even if I have already tired on my jeans that morning (just to check if they fit) and they are loose..if the pounds on the scale don't fit what i think they should I am upset for the rest of the day! I hate that! I have my routine too and I totally have to pee first and it has to be a "thin" feeling day (if I already feel fat then i wont step near the thing). But i agree..you totally have nothing to worry about :)
ReplyDeleteI made an oath to myself that I would never buy a weighing machine! and true enough I've not weighed myself in ages..not that I really want to anyway! haha. Ignorance in this case is bliss me thinks (:
ReplyDeleteseriously...you inspire me to want to start getting fit again! it's a good thing..so thank you!!
Currently the scale is my friend as I begin towards losing the baby weight! I'm with you though, it has to be in the morning AFTER I peed. Whenever I have an afternoon Dr.'s apt I always feel jipped cause...I can't possibly weight that much! I blame it on 4 pm and just skip reality.
ReplyDeleteGirl, don't eeevvveeennn get me started! I shun the scale! It is a torture device and it really should be banned. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteHow funny, Iva! I'm writing a blog that's kinda about that right now!
ReplyDeleteI used to have an ok relationship with the scale but since I got married and put on 7 lbs, we are not friends. I'm hoping to start working on our relationship but until I lose a couple, we're not speaking.
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with ya. I don't even keep my hair tie in my hair. And you can't forget the large exhale as you're stepping on.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I do before stepping on the scale..!
ReplyDeleteI hate the scale, and tend to weigh myself even though I know I shouldn't. I am with you I take everything off, you never know if something adds pounds. You look great and that is all that matters.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I hate looking at a scale. I'm like you, I know my weight based on how my jeans fit!
ReplyDeleteYuo look wonderful girl..you have nothing to worry about! : )
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome. Go with how you feel. And when all else fails, stand next to me. LOL. That will take care of the rest. ;)
ReplyDeleteI so do the jeans test. Still haven't got back into them since my little dude was born. Fingers crossed it will happen someday.
