HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Our first date. Our first kiss. Our first movie. Our first trip together. Our first holiday together. First sleep over. First place together. Engagement anniversary. Wedding anniversary. OMG! All kidding aside, my friend puts her husband through all of that. Probably even more, but that's all I am able to digest. I think my eyes glazed over after her tenth explanation of current anniversary celebration, which was probably something along the lines of "May 21, is the 10th anniversary of our first stroll outside holding hands". Or maybe she said first time they drove in a car together. Beats me. {It's both cute and seriously nuts at the same time} I mark our years together, a simple "happy anniversary" does it, and we celebrate our wedding anniversary. Although, clearly I am missing out on some notable anniversaries...now if only I could remember the date of our first sharing of food off the same plate. Or the first time we agreed on the channel the TV would be on. Better yet, the first time we felt comfortable enough to fart in front of one another. Now that would be cause for celebration. {oh come on, you know you 'pass gas', lets be lady like}.
So, which anniversaries are on your list with your lovebug?

With my ex, we used to do monthly anniversaries...but after 2 years, it gets a little ridic! Basically every 3 weeks you have to think of something cute to do. So we scratched that! haha
ReplyDeleteLOL! I have a friend who celebrates every anniversary like that too! Honestly it's a bit much...we just celebrate our wedding anniversary and that's it, but that's enough for us and it's extra special that way!
ReplyDeletewow! now that is a bit much...we celebrate the day we start dating and thats it...when we get married that will be another one
ReplyDeletehaha! that's way overboard! i can't even remember the last time i've celebrated an anniversary with a guy b/c i've only done it based on years.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the SAME thing the other day! I had an ex who would get upset on the 18th of every month because I never remembered it was our anniversary. It was redic. I think the yearly mark is plenty.
ReplyDeletewell happy anniversary! i had no idea one could create so many! do the gifts come with each one? 'cause I'll only do it for gifts.
ReplyDeleteAwww Happpy Anniversary! People like you and your friend are the reasons why I still believe in love :)
ReplyDeleteaww, me and josh really only celebrate the years we've been together. at the beginning i know i counted the months ..and when i think about it, it's been 34..wow! but i only let that slip a few times :)
ReplyDeleteI always did the wedding and that's it. It is too hard for me to remember other dates..lol
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
my boyfriend and i really don't do anything for anniversaries...it would be right after both of our birthdays, but since we aren't married yet, what do we celebrate? first date? first kiss? first sleepover? move-in date? wayy too much date remembering for me!
ReplyDeleteI posted a great blog on my lovely for our anniversary. It was on March 27.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary - you have some beautiful children!
We celebrate our year and half year anniversaries...we don't do anything big just kisses and maybe a card.
