Unbelievable. I went out to get my Starbucks, and then swung by the overly overpriced, but down the hill, so close, grocery store to get milk for Little Man. My inability to not buy every glossy magazine took over so I grabbed Marie Claire, with Beyonce on the cover, who would 'rather be in bed with Jay-Z'. I gathered some other stuff too, otherwise, this post would not be happening because I would not have needed a paper bag. The cashier (male) threw all my items into the paper bag. Milk. Mini bagels. Butter. And then. The unthinkable. Marie Claire went in with no protection. Right up against, cover facing, the gallon of milk. Hello?! Condensation! Marie Claire totally could have been ruined! Tragic. Thank god I have quick reflexes. All is well, Marie Clarie is safe, no water spots and no wrinkles. Men.

I just read this post and I thought, "Beyonce?! I don't remember that cover - did my MC not come in the mail this month??" and I literally got up and went searching for it :) Good news, it's safe and sound on my coffee table!

ReplyDeletehaha! I hate it when that happens! There is a store that I always go to in NJ and get stuff from the asian wok area and then they try to put the asian food in the same bag as everything else...don't they realize about the spillage?? Good refelxes! Hope you had a great weekend :)

ReplyDeleteHa ha, I am always thinking the same thing when people are bagging up my items. It drives me nuts when my man grabs my book or magazine and pushes it into my bag like it's a squeeze toy!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!! I feel the same way about my Magazine's it irritates me if someone smudges, rips or wets any of the covers. Especially if I haven't even sat down to read them yet. They just don't get it! Fun post!

I seriously want to punch the mailman for crunching up my Interview Magazine to fit in my box.......can't he put it in the convenient box for bigger items located 3 boxes below mine? Sheesh....obviously it is precious cargo!!! Its wrapped in plastic for goodness sake!!
