I rock the spit up on my shirts, haul half my house with me everywhere we go in the trunk, search ebay far and wide for any and every discontinued Barney product, give one room in the house up for all Nike Air Jordan shoes, allow carbs to enter the house, and fill our freeze with bags of "My Mommy's Milk". I'd do anything for my children. Anything. But, distressing my style is a no go. There are two things, I will never do. I will NOT get a minivan like its some kind of right of passage into mommyhood, and I refuse to been seen with one of those plastic, boring, box looking, both parent appropriate, diaper bags. Also, I prefer 'baby bag' over 'diaper bag'. Although I completely find the Luis Vuitton Diaper Bag perfectly acceptable, I shun the idea of spending $2,200 on it. I LOVE IT! I'm with you on the not giving up my style. A bag you carry from the time their born until 1-2 years of age...it should be pricey and spectacular. I did the same with my children...I chose Juicy. Great find girlie!

ReplyDeleteI have never carried a 'diaper bag'. I carry a large purse and throw a few needed items for baby in it. Works wonderful and goes with my style. ;)

ReplyDeletei SO agree! when i had my kids (not that they're THAT old, but still, baby goods have come a long way in 9 years) they didn't have ANYTHING like what they have now, and i was NOT going to carry around a bag with winnie the pooh or something equally as kiddish to stash baby stuff in. i figured i'm an adult, i'm carrying the bag. I'M NOT being seen with winnie the pooh on my arm!!
ReplyDeletei bought a basic black large purse to use as a baby bag. it was chic and had enough pockets to fit what i needed. it's about time they started making bags that fit the mothers tastes, cause the baby could care less what the bag looks like! lol!
